Auxiliary Corner - May 2026
Dear Members,
What a truly incredible month it has been for our Auxiliary! My heart is so full as I look back on everything we’ve accomplished together. It is through your hands and your hearts that we are making a real difference in the lives of those who served.
The launch of Operation Full Plate (OFP) has been a massive success. We began our first round with 24 recipients, and in just two short weeks, that number grew to 31.

May-king Hay
May Day, once a pastoral celebration of summer, became a pivotal date in American labor history following an 1884 proclamation by the Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions. Moderate Progressive efforts secured concessions for roughly 50,000 workers by April 1886 but the movement was complicated when anarchists adopted the cause.

Greetings Everyone!
The weather continues to get nicer, and our Auxiliary continues to get busier!
Our birthday dinner on March 21st was a great success. During the event, we proudly announced the establishment of The Kathleen Hayward Memorial Scholarship. This award will be given to a young woman entering the military, honoring the 62 years of resilience, compassion, and patriotism Kathy modeled for us all. It is our distinct honor to remember her by helping the next generation of female service members pave their own way.

Lynn Mac Rae Goodness 11/16/1943 - 12/12/2026
Lynn Mac Rae Goodness, born November 16, 1943, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Known to many as ‘Goody,’ Lynn will be remembered for his quick wit, steady presence, and the kind of humor that could cut through any tough moment usually followed by one of his famous ‘Goodyisms’ that left everyone laughing (and occasionally shaking their heads).
Lynn grew up in Lake George, New York, a place that always stayed close to his heart.
